Attorney Ross A. Krajewski manages the Trust Administration Department at Cushing & Dolan, P.C. where he advises and supports trustees in fulfilling their fiduciary responsibilities and provides private client services to high and ultra-high net worth families and individuals. In this capacity, Ross works directly with individuals, families, fiduciaries, and their professional advisors to protect and grow trust assets while minimizing tax burdens and ensuring fiduciary compliance.

While attending law school, Ross worked extensively in civil litigation for Thornton Law Firm LLP (formerly Thornton & Naumes LLP) and the firm of Corrigan, Johnson & Tutor, P.A. He is a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and recently separated as a commissioned officer in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Immediately prior to joining Cushing & Dolan, Ross worked in international military planning and multi-national training.

Ross earned a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and a Bachelor of Science from Marquette University. He is currently enrolled in the Graduate Tax Program and Boston University Law School working towards his LLM in Taxation.

Representative Matters

  • Provide legal counsel, trust and estate administration, tax analysis, and fiduciary services to fiduciaries with over $600 million of assets under management
  • Administer individual and family trusts with respect to investment and banking activity, real estate investment and rental properties, corporate and partnership interests, as well as federal and state tax compliance
  • Hold family meetings, prepare trust and estate accountings, financial reports, and maintain other fiduciary-beneficiary communications and reporting
  • Work directly with independent financial advisors, CPAs, insurance providers, and business managers to ensure prudent asset management, monitor investment performance and benchmarks, review asset allocations and diversification, and assess investment strategies
  • Provide private client services to high and ultra-high net worth clients including real estate and corporate management and transactions, service as corporate officer and trustee, execution of gifting and wealth transfers, as well as promissory notes and loans, preparation of individual state and federal income tax returns
  • Interpret trust and estate planning documents and advise with respect to fiduciary powers and duties, dispositive provisions, beneficiary rights, standards for distribution, and tax treatment
  • Ensure fiduciary compliance with Massachusetts Uniform Trust Code, Massachusetts Prudent Investor Act, and Massachusetts Principal and Income Act
  • Represent trustees and other fiduciaries, beneficiaries, heirs, and other interested parties in trust and estate disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims and defenses, accounting contests, fiduciary litigation and pre-litigation
  • Draft and execute the reformation, judicial and non-judicial modification, settlement agreements, as well as the termination, division, and decanting of trusts
