Biography
Catherine L.B. Joy set her sights on obtaining a legal education after taking an Introduction to Law class at Middlesex Community College during her junior year of high school. In 2020, she was accepted to Suffolk University Law School and received the Suffolk University Trustee Academic Scholarship for full tuition based on "outstanding credentials and potential for success," and soon received the Best Oral Advocate Award in her Legal Practice Skills class in her first year. Prior to working at Cushing & Dolan, P.C., Catherine worked as a Law Clerk at Malis Law, where she focused on Personal Injury Litigation. Catherine started as summer law clerk at Cushing & Dolan, P.C. in 2023, gaining experience in Probate and Estate Litigation and Estate Administration. Catherine earned her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in May 2024 and is thrilled to now be an Associate in Cushing & Dolan's Litigation and Estate Administration Departments after passing the July 2024 Massachusetts Bar Exam. She now focuses on Litigation, Estate Administration, Guardianships, and Pre/Postnuptial agreements.
