Ellen M. Collins joined Cushing & Dolan, P.C. in December 2010. She works in the area of Estate Planning in the Waltham office. Ellen assists attorneys in the processing of estate planning documents. She is responsible for working with clients and financial advisors to ensure all trusts are properly funded. She also completes change of beneficiary forms, certification of trust forms, prepares deeds, Crummey Notices, contribution instruments and helps gather all asset information relevant to the estate.
Prior to Cushing & Dolan, Ellen worked at Harmon Law Offices, P.C., a busy real estate law firm, roughly 5 years, assisting attorneys in daily functions relating to foreclosures. She supervised a team of approximately 15 legal assistants and 5 paralegals and assumed managerial responsibilities in the absence of the manager. She acted as a liaison between the paralegal manager and legal assistants. Also, while at Harmon Law Office, P.C., Ellen assisted in training new employees on procedures including scheduling, canceling, and postponing foreclosure auctions. She is also a Massachusetts Notary Public. Ellen graduated from Framingham State College and completed the Paralegal Professional Program at Northeastern University.
