Attorney Artika Wadhwa was sworn into the Massachusetts and Rhode Island Bars in 2007 and works in the Boston office as an Associate in the Corporate and Tax departments of Cushing & Dolan, P.C. 
 
Artika graduated with honors from Suffolk University in 2000, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, majoring in Computer Information Systems.  Artika received her Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2007.
 
Artika's role in the Corporate department includes drafting documents for the buying and selling of businesses, including enforceability opinions, stock and asset purchase agreements, buy-sell agreements, and equipment and rental leases. Artika is also responsible for the creation, ownership, management, and ongoing maintenance of business entities including corporations, non-profit organizations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships and family limited partnerships.
 
Artika's role in the Tax department include assisting clients in the preparation of Mass DOR and IRS audits, and preparing Tax Court petitions.  Artika has also prepared income tax returns, fiduciary tax returns, partnership, and S-corporation tax returns.
 
While attending law school, Artika spent a summer abroad in London, England interning as a marshall (the English version of a clerk) to His Honour Judge George Khayat, Q.C., former Lead Queen's Counsel.  Additionally, Artika interned at the Rhode Island Human Rights Commission, and worked as a law clerk for the Law Office of Laura Krohn, and Cushing & Dolan, P.C.

Prior to attending law school, Artika worked as a software developer/database analyst in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and finacial industries and she spent time in Bern, Switzerland working as a web developer for a domestic start-up firm doing business internationally.
