Attorney Eaton's practice is dedicated to helping clients' protect their families and finances for today and the future. She excels at guiding clients and their families through the maze of financial and legal decisions necessary for effective planning.
Attorney Eaton's successes and achievements include the following:
- Successfully obtaining MassHealth benefits for over 100 applicants for MassHealth long term care.
- Assisting over 50 clients to protect their assets from the cost of long term care through the use of Medicaid Irrevocable Trusts.
- Assisting clients in obtaining SSI, SSDI, and community MassHealth benefits.
- Advising clients about Veteran's benefits, including the Veteran's pension and the Aid and Attendance Benefit.
- Preparing estate plans for clients with both simple and moderate estates.
- Representing clients before the IRS Appeals Board and successfully obtaining refunds of several thousands of dollars of IRS penalties assessed.
- Coordinating aspects of cases internally between all departments, and externally with CPAs, attorneys, fiduciaries and other representatives.
- Active membership in community service and legal organizations dedicated to assisting the elderly, including the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and Aging in Place.
